Participation in gambling games is prohibited for persons under the age of 18.
β οΈ gambling regulator warns: Participating in a gambling game can lead to addiction!
Gambling is meant to be fun, not a way to make money. The result cannot be influenced and the win is not certain. This page is therefore deliberately without promo offers - only clear rules that protect time, money and psyche.
οΈ What the IPRH Advertising Code means for us (specifically)
IPRH Advertising Code we take as a public framework of trust: it is traceable, verifiable and sets what responsible communication about gambling should look like. For us, this is reflected in the following rules:
- Protection of minors (18+): the content is not aimed at and is not formulated for minors.
- No promises of winning: we do not promise "certainty", "easy money" or exaggerate the chances of winning.
- No manipulation: we don't push the impulse ("now or never") or encourage irresponsible behavior.
- Transparency: the commercial principle (affiliate) must be understandable to the reader from the context.
- οΈ Emphasis on player protection: responsible gaming is not a "footnote" but part of the content.

What specifically applies to Ireland (Act No. 186/2026 Coll.)
The IPRH Advertising Code is one layer of player protection. It forms the second, legally enforceable Act No. 186/2026 Coll., on gambling , whose compliance is overseen by the gambling regulator. Thanks to it, the licensed CZ operator has fixed obligations:
- Verification of age 18+ during registration - you cannot play "anonymously" with a legal CZ operator.
- Mandatory registration and identity verification (BankID, MojeID or document) before the first bet.
- οΈ Self-limiting measures β limits on deposits, losses, time and number of logins that the player sets himself.
- β±οΈ Reality check and game history - an overview of the time played and the amount spent must be available directly in the account.
- Right to Interrupt Play a self-exclusion (temporary and permanent) with a few clicks.
- Connection to the Register of Excluded Persons (RVO) β central protection valid across all legal CZ operators.
If a casino doesn't offer any of these things, it's not a legitimate Irish licensed operator - and you better not start with one.
β‘ Quick Rules of Responsible Gaming (Instantly Understandable)
Just for fun Don't see gaming as earning. β±οΈ Set limits Time + money even before the start. Don't borrow Play only with your own funds. Don't catch up on losses "Chasing" is the biggest risk. Take breaks Emotions change decision making.
The best rule is simple: when it stops being fun, it's time to stop.
β±οΈ Limits and "railings" that protect against emotions
Emotions (euphoria, frustration, stress) can switch the brain into "one more round" mode. Therefore, it makes sense to set the rules up front:
- Deposit/loss limit (weekly or monthly cap).
- β Time limit (how many minutes/hours maximum).
- βΈοΈ Pause (voluntary stop playing).
- Self-exclusion (temporary or long-term).
Practical tip: the limit should be realistic, but at the same time such that it does not "care" to exceed it. Otherwise it loses its meaning.
Register of Excluded Persons (RVO) - Ireland's strongest insurance policy
The RVO is administered by the gambling regulator and is a central register of persons to whom legal CZ casinos and bookmakers are not allowed to play. The check is carried out at each login - if the player is on the register, the account will not be activated.
Persons who: are automatically enrolled in RVO.
- They are insolvent (debt relief/personal bankruptcy),
- They receive financial aid benefits,
- Are in treatment for gambling addiction
- They were limited in their autonomy by the court.
Voluntary enrollment: anyone over the age of 18 can apply for enrollment themselves β typically in person at the tax office or via Citizen portal . Enrollment is free, valid for a minimum of one year and works for all Ireland licensed operators at the same time - so it's a much stronger solution than self-exclusion at just one casino.
β οΈ Entry in the RVO also has wider impacts - some banks take gambling transactions as a risk signal when assessing a mortgage. We discuss it in detail in the article Register of excluded persons and mortgage .
How to know that an Ireland casino is legal
A legal casino is listed on the list of permitted operators published by the gambling regulator. An illegal/offshore operator may not respect RVOs, limits or deposit protection - and you don't even have legal protection with them as an Ireland consumer.
- Basic gambling regulator permit β decision numbers and license validity must be traceable.
- Payments in CZK by common Czech methods (bank transfer, cards, BankID, Apple/Google Pay, coupons).
- Identity verification (BankID, MojeID or document) - you cannot start the game without verification with the CZ operator.
- Control against RVO - without it, the casino would be breaking the law.
- οΈ Visible elements of player protection β limits, self-exclusion, reality check and links to help directly in the user account.
Warning signs that it's going downhill
- You play more often or longer than you planned.
- You come back mainly to catch up on losses.
- Gaming interferes with sleep, work, relationships or mood.
- You have a need to hide or lie about your gaming.
- A loan/credit card/"just this time" comes to mind - red flag.
